mahishasura was the king of a very powerful.mahishasura was to be immortal on earth. Therefore mahishasura did penance very harshly to please Brahma ji.
Brahma ji was pleased with the harsh penance of mahishasura. lord brahma said, what do you want? mahishasura said, I want to be immortal on this earth.
Brahma Ji said that every living being on this earth is destined to kill. mahishasura thought very carefully that my death should be determined by the death of a woman.
After a few days mahishasura became the king of the demons. He established a very large army.

mahishasura attacked godlok. All the gods failed. mahishasura became the king and started many atrocities.

lankapatravan was a 10-headed king of lankeshwar. Lankapatiravan had two brothers and a sister.

महिषासुर/कात्यायनी देवी कथा
महिषासुर एक बहुत शक्तिशाली का राजा था।महिषासुर धरती पर अमर होना था। इसलिए महिषासुर ने ब्रह्मा जी को प्रसन्न करने के लिए बहुत कठोरता से तपस्या की।
ब्रह्मा जी महिषासुर के कठोर तपस्या से प्रसन्न हुए। ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा, तुम्हें क्या चाहिए कहो? महिषासुर ने कहा, मैं यह धरती पर अमर होना चाहता हूं।
ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा इस धरती पर प्रत्येक जीव को मारना तय है।महिषासुर ने बहुत सोचकर कहा मेरी मृत्यु किसी नारी के हाथों मेरी मृत्यु तय करे।
कुछ ही दिन के बाद महिषासुर दैत्यों का राजा बन गया। उसने बहुत बड़ी सेना की स्थापना की।
महिषासुर ने पाताललोक और पृथ्वीलोक आक्रमण किया। महिषासुर सफल रहा और उसे विजय प्राप्त हुआ।
महिषासुर ने देवलोक आक्रमण किया। सब देवता लोक असफल रहे।महिषासुर का राजा बन गया और बहुत सारे अत्याचार करने लगा।
इंद्रदेव और सब देवता लोक भयभयित हुए। इंद्रदेव और देवता लोक सभी ब्रह्मा विष्णु महेश के पास गए।
सभी देवताओं ने मिलकर देवी मां की आराधना की। उसमें से एक तेजोमय देवी प्रकट हुई।
सभी देवताओं ने हथियार देवी के सामने रखें। देवी मां उससे बहुत प्रसन्नसभी देवताओं ने हथियार देवी के सामने रखें। देवी मां उससे बहुत प्रसन्न हुई। कात्यायनी देवी के साथ बहुत बड़ा युद्ध प्रारंभ हुआ। युद्ध में सब सेनापति मारे गए। अब महिषासुर खुद कात्यायनी देवी के साथ युद्ध करने लगा।महिषासुर अलग अलग रूप बनकर कात्यायनी देवी पर वार करने लगा। कात्यायनी देवी और महिषासुर का पूरे 10 दिनों तक युद्ध चला। युद्ध के आखिरी दिन अर्थातदशहरा के दिन महिषासुर का अंत हुआ।

लंकापतिरावण कथा
लंकापतिरावण एक 10 सिर वाला लंकेश्वर का राजा था। #लंकापतिरावण को दो भाई और एक बहन थी।
लंकापतिरावण बाल्यवस्था में ही चार वेद कठस्थ किए
थे। भगवान शिव का बहुत बड़ा भक्त था और रोज़ शिव की पूजा और आराधना करता था।
उस ज़माने में लंकापतिरावण की नगरी एक सोने की नगरी भी कही जाती थी।लंकापतिरावण ने भगवान राम की पत्नी सितामाता कोकैद कर लिया था।
सितामाता को छुड़ाने लिए के श्रीराम और लंकापतिरावण मे बहुत बड़ा युद्ध हुआ।आखिर विजयादशमी के दिन राम ने लंकापतिरावण के नाभि पर तीर मारा और लंकापतिरावण का अंत हुआ। तब से का दिन #विजयादशमी का दिन से भी मनाया जाता।
