Guru Nanak was born in a village in Talwandi, Punjab, Pakistan. He founded Sikhism. He was born 15 days after the day of Kartik Purnima.
Guru Nanak's father's name was Mehta Kalu Khatri and mother's name was Trupta Devi and sister's name was Nanaki.
They were married at the age of 16 in childhood.

कार्तिक पूर्णिमा के दिन सिख धर्म के पहले गुरु नानक जी का जन्म उत्सव के रूप में मनाया जाता है। यह तीन गुरु नानक जयंती के रूप में कार्तिक पूर्णिमा के दिन पूरी श्रद्धा और उल्लास के साथ मनाया जाता है।
इस दिन सीख लो गुरुद्वारे में रुमाल चढाते है और सुबह सुबह प्रभात फेरी निकालते हैं उसके साथ ही इच्छानुसार दान करते है।
गुरु नानक जी का जन्म तलवंडी के एक गांव में पंजाब पाकिस्तान में हुआ था। उन्होंने सिख धर्म की स्थापना की थी। उनका जन्म दिवस के 15 दिन बाद कार्तिक पूर्णिमा के दिन हुआ था।
गुरु नानक के पिता का नाम मेहता कालू खत्री और माता का नाम तृप्ता देवी और बहन का नाम नानकी था।
उनका विवाह बचपन में ही 16 साल की आयु में हुआ।
माता सुलखनी देवी के साथ हुआ। बाद मे दो लडके हुए।

गुरु नानक ने दी गई सीख पर उस पूरे विश्व में लोग आज भी चलते हैं। उन्होंने कहा है कि पूरे विश्व में ईश्वर भगवान एक है। हम सब एक हैं और पूरी दिल से उपासना करनी चाहिए।
किसी के साथ भी बुरा व्यवहार करना नहीं चाहिए और सदैव हमेशा भगवान का स्मरण करना चाहिए। हमेशा जरूरतमंद लोगों की मदद करें।
