vishnu legend

holi is celebrated in honor of Lord Vishnu and devotee Prahlad.  According to the story in the 7th chapter of Srimad Bhagwat Purana, King Hiranyakashipu was a very strong king of demon demons and he pleased God by doing very hard penance.  And he gave all the power he asked for as a gift.  He could not be killed by any human being, or by any animal, indoors or outdoors, day or night, by weapons (projection weapons), or any science (handicraft weapons), or by any kind of land, water, air, etc.  Therefore, the pride of Hiranyakashyapu, the king of the demon demons, increased a lot. He demanded that everyone should consider him as God and worship him only.  Hiranyakashipu's own son Bhakt Pralhad, however, did not agree.  He was a big devotee of lord Vishnu, so Hiranyakashipu got very angry with his son, the devotee Pralhad.  He tried to punish Pralhad brutally but none of that affected the devotee Pralhad. Eventually, the devotee Pralhad's aunt Holika put him on the steps with her.  Holika wore a tunic to save her life in the fire as well as to protect herself from some injuries, but there was nothing to protect Prahlada.  When the fire roared, the bonfire blew away the tunic from her and surrounded the devotee Prahlada, who saved the life of the devotee Prahlad while burning the bonfire.  lord Vishnu, who appears as an incarnation to restore, took the form of Narasimha in the evening (when that time was not day or night) and took Hiranyakashyapula in a frame near the outer door of the house (which was neither inside nor outside the house) and carried him on his lap (land, water).  , There was no air) and then got out of there and the lion's throne killed King Hiranyakashipu.

Among other hindu traditions like Shaivism and Shakti, the mythological significance of Holi is deeply rooted in Shiva and Yogasana, Goddess Parvati, who wishes to bring lord Shiva back to earth, takes the help of a love named lord Cupid on the day of Vasant Panchami. Cupid shot an arrow at Shiva, the yogi opens the third eye and burns the work. This upset both Kama's wife Rati (Kamadevi) and his own wife Parvati. Rati meditates on her own for forty days, on which Shiva understands, forgives out of compassion and restores Kamadeva, the god of love. This return of the god of love is celebrated on the thirtieth day of Vasant Panchami as holi. There are many types of work legends and the importance of holi, especially in South india.
