The third day of the Deepavali festival, Narak Chaturdashi Kartik Krishna Chaturdashi will begin on November 13 at 5:59 pm and will run till November 14, 2:17 pm.
On this day everyone wakes up before sunrise in the morning and takes a bath. Lord Krishna is worshiped with full kunku,turmeric , gulal, fruits and sweets from flowers. Prasad is shown.
And in the evening put seven lamps at the crossroads in front of the house and celebrate.
Because on this day Lord Krishna killed Narakasura.
Legend of Narakasura
Narakasura was the king of a very big demon.
Pragjyotishpur was a resident of the city. He amazed all the gods with his power. He persecuted the people and saints who lived together. He arrested 16,000 women in public and saints.
You Narakasura was being tortured a lot, so all the gods went to Lord Krishna.
Lord Krishna gave the faith to free Narakasura from the tyranny.
Narakasura was cursed that he would die at the hands of a woman.
For this, Lord Krishna slaughtered Narakasura with the help of his wife Satyabhama by driving them a chariot.
Karthik Krishna Chaturdashi was Narak Chaturdashi that day.
Lord Krishna freed 16,000 women from the captivity of Narakasura that day.
At the same time, the saint, Mahatma, the people living in the city and the deity were freed from the tyranny of Narakasura.
On his second day i.e. Narak Chaturdashi Amavasya. Mahatma, saints and people living in the city celebrated with the help of lamps. Since then Diwali started celebrating.

दीपावली त्योहार का तीसरा दिन नरक चतुर्दशी कार्तिक कृष्ण चतुर्दशी 13 नवंबर को शाम 5:59 बजे शुरू होगा और 14 नवंबर, दोपहर 2:17 तक चलेगा।
इस दिन हर कोई सुबह सूर्योदय से पहले उठता है और स्नान करता है। पूर्ण कुंकू, हळद, गुलाल, फूल से फल और मिठाई भगवान कृष्ण की पूजा की जाती है।प्रसाद दिखाया जाता है।
और शाम के समय घर के सामने चौराहे पर सात दिये लगाते हैं और उत्सव मनाते है।
क्योंकि इसी दिन भगवान कृष्ण ने नरकासुर का वध किया था।
नरकासुर की कथा
नरकासुर एक बहुत ही बड़ा राक्षस का राजा था।
प्रगज्योतिषपुर शहर का रहने वाला था। उसने अपनी शक्ति से सभी देवताओं को चकित कर दिया। उन्होंने साथ रहने वाले लोगों और संतों को सताया। उन्होंने सार्वजनिक और संतों में 16,000 महिलाओं को गिरफ्तार किया था।
आप नरकासुर का अत्याचार बहुत पड़ रहा था इसलिए सभी देवता भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के पास गए।
भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने नरकासुर के अत्याचार से से मुक्त करने का विश्वास दिया।
नरकासुर को श्राप था कि वह एक महिला के हाथों मर जाएगा।
इसके लिए, भगवान कृष्ण ने अपनी पत्नी सत्यभामा की मदद से उन्हे रथ चलाकर भगवान कृष्ण ने नरकासुर का वध किया।
उस दिन कार्तिक कृष्ण चतुर्दशी नरक चतुर्दशी थी।
भगवान कृष्ण ने उस दिन 16,000 महिलाओं को नरकासुर की कैद से मुक्त कर दिया था।
संत, महात्मा, शहर में रहने वाले लोग और देवता को नरकासुर के अत्याचार से मुक्त कर दिया।
उसके दूसरे ही दिन यानी नरक चतुर्दशी अमावस्या के दिन। नगर मे रहने वाले महात्मा, संत, लोग ने दिये लगा कर उत्सव मनाया था। तभी से दिवाली उत्सव मनाने लगे।
दिवाली के 1 दिन पहले छोटी दीवाली मनाने लगे।
